Hummus is a great thing to use in place of so many dairy products. I use it as a base for creamy pasta sauces, it makes a great sandwich spread, and of course it is very tasty on its own.
Try it with my Homemade Whole Wheat Pita Recipe.
I love serving hummus with a plate of veggies and toasted pita. It is a beautiful presentation and so easy to prepare.
You can add toasted pine nuts for some variety, fresh herbs, edamame…the combinations are endless.
