My Husband's Heart Healthy Smoothie Recipe

The almighty beet. You either love them or hate them. Personally I like them...I can eat them raw. My husband on the other hand has a few choice words about the beet. This recipe masks what he calls “dirt” taste, i call earthy flavor. The frozen banana works perfectly. Feel free to add more fruit or vegetable to it. This is just a solid base for a great start to your day.
Ingredients
  • 1 beet
  • 1 frozen banana (you can you fresh too)
  • I cup of spinach (or kale)
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk ( give or take, based on preference)
Instructions
  1. Wash and peel beet. Cut up in pieces
  2. Cut up banana
  3. Measure out a cup of greens
  4. Measure out you nondairy milk
  5. Throw everything in blender. I personally use the Nutribullet
  6. Enjoy!!!
