This recipe is using the same crust that I used in the Hemp crusted tofu sticks. I had some leftover from the recipe...I saw some asparagus, and bam. Something new and fun .It goes awesome with my keto/vegan cashew honey mustard dip.
Ingredients
½ cups whole wheat bread crumbs
½ cup hemp hearts
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp of Jersey Bonfire Garlic hot sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425
Line Baking sheet with parchment paper
Clean and prepare asparagus
Mix milk with mustard (and hot sauce if using)
Combine dry ingredients
Roll asparagus in wet mixture, then dry mixture
Place on a baking sheet, and repeat with remaining asparagus spears
Bake for 12 minutes, rotating halfway
