The most versatile delicious VEGAN basil pesto recipe
Ingredients
  • 2 cups packed fresh basil. no stems
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted walnuts
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3-4 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3-6 Tbsp water (plus more as needed)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender. I use the NutriBullet.
  2. Salt and season as needed
  3. Tip- For an enhanced flavor, toast your walnuts for a few minutes in a 350 degree oven. The natural oils are released and it makes a huge difference!
