Garlic Mashed Turnips

Keto friendly mashed turnips. They are garlicky, buttery and absolutely delicious
Ingredients
  • 3 cups diced turnip
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • 3 T melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Add turnips to a sauce pot and fill with water until they're just covered. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to medium and allow to simmer until tender. Drain the water, and in the same pot as you cooked them, mash the turnips using a potato masher. Stir in milk , butter and garlic pieces. Heat briefly to help the flavors meld. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then stir well again. Serve as is, or puree in a food processor for an extra smooth texture.
