I don’t know if I am alone here, but I have been drinking a bit more since I have been stuck home in quarantine. Since i do not like to drink my calories, I decided to put together some low calorie and low sugar versions of my favorite cocktails.

Low Calorie and Low Sugar Cosmopolitan

Use flavor infused vodka to get the same fruity taste that you would get from a cosmo. You also don’t get as bad of a hangover with the reduction of sugar. The lack of extra fruit juice also helps keep your calories in check. You can add a small splash of cranberry juice and some fresh lime for the same overall cosmopolitan effect.

Moscow Mule

With ginger beer (zevia brand is sugar and calorie free) , vodka, lime juice, and lots of ice, skipping the simple syrup. It’s so refreshing, and when you don’t use simple syrup it’s only around 80 calories. —Molly Morgan, R.D., C.D.N., C.S.S.D., owner of Creative Nutrition Solutions

Silver Tequila on the Rocks with Club Soda and Lime

This is my go to drink. I love myself a good margarita. But as we all know it is packed with sugar and calories, and a wicked hangover. I find that it satisfies my craving without any of the guilt.

Vodka/Gin and Soda

Low calorie Mojito

As we have all heard time and time again, alcohol is filled with empty calories. We may as well try not to add too many extra on top of it. These drinks are still delicious, and your headache will not be nearly as severe. It’s a win win!
